This month we supported Amy & Friends, a charity formed to facilitate the support of children and families suffering from Cockayne Syndrome (CS), as suggested by Michael Coaker in our Development team.
Michael has friends with a son who suffers from a genetic condition and sent the team this message from his friends following the donation: "They were overwhelmed and very appreciative of everyone’s donation to an organisation which supported them for many years. They asked me to pass on their thanks to everyone and thought it was particularly appropriate that we raised the money through our ‘Jeans day’ as they have supported ‘Jeans for Genes day’ having appeared in a half hour documentary about living with genetic disorders".
