The prestigious girls' school previously used Oliver.
Softlink's Oliver system had been in use at the school for some time, but the librarian was increasingly frustrated by the lack of reporting facilities offered. The primary reasons for a switch to Heritage were the reputation of our support team and the wealth of pre-formatted reports (over 500)! We are delighted to have them on board.
We are delighted to welcome another theological library to the fold!
Lincoln Cathedral purchased Heritage earlier this year. They were previously using an Excel spreadsheet and identified the need for a proper library management system. The Heritage catalogue will soon be available from the cathedral's website.
The Third Sector Research Centre selected Heritage after careful consideration!
TSRC develops evidence on, for and with the voluntary and community sector and social enterprise in the UK. The Centre is a collaborative venture by the Universities of Birmingham and Southampton, with contributions from Middlesex and Kent. It is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, Office of the Third Sector and Barrow Cadbury Trust.
This month we supported David Walliams' Thames swim and raised £26.
On the first Monday of each month IS staff can come to the Chapel in their casual clothes in return for a donation of £2 to the charity being supported. David Walliams will be swimming past us (through Sandford Lock) later today so we thought it fitting that he deserved our support this time!

Our August Open Day was a great success (despite the weather). Following are a just a few comments sent to us following the day: "Thanks for a great time at the open day yesterday. I was very impressed with the organisation of the day (and the food) and it was good to meet fellow users and isoxford staff (some of you don't look anything like I'd imagined!) - you probably think the same of us..." "I would just like to let you know that you put on a fantastic day, despite the rain.. Many thanks for including my husband on the coach trip and offering him lunch. That was really kind and above and beyond the call of duty." "Everyone at IS was so pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere friendly and efficient." "A big thank you for yesterday. Despite the rain it was a really positive experience. I was reminded during the various presentations just how much there is in Heritage which could be used – if only there was the time to get to grips with it all. However it was really good to be nudged into trying new things out. Please pass on my thanks to all your colleagues as I (and everyone else who came, I am sure) really appreciated the very warm welcome from absolutely everyone at IS. It can’t be an occasion which you all look forward to when you are faced with such a huge invasion by your customers but as a public relations exercise it was well worth doing and you all get gold stars."
IS Oxford are hosting the entire solution!
UCS were previously using Adlib but have moved to a hosted Heritage solution. They are our very first customers to go ahead with our full hosting services and we are delighted to welcome them on board!
They have moved from Eclipse. Click on 'News' above to read more.
Having used both Alice and then Eclipse in recent years the library staff knew what they wanted in a LMS. After careful evaluation they opted to convert to Heritage and we are very excited to be working with them.
The librarian, Sarah Warren-Macmillan said last week "In only a few hours, I already know that we have done the right thing by purchasing Heritage, so thanks for all your help along the way. This evening we have had many boys using the OPAC, and even they have been impressed by its clarity and the ease of finding resources".
