Raising funds for the British Heart Foundation
Tom Knightley, our Senior Heritage Trainer, will be doing a sponsored London to Brighton Bike Ride and has requested this month’s charity be for his choice - The British Heart Foundation. On the first Monday of each month IS staff can come to the Chapel in their casual clothes in return for a donation of £2 to the charity being supported. Staff can nominate any good cause they feel deserves a bit of extra help. This month we raised £30 for Tom's cause.
Our monthly 'dress down' day raised funds on their behalf.

Our monthly 'dress down' day had an added twist!
On the first Monday of each month IS staff can come to the Chapel in their casual clothes in return for a donation of £2 to the charity being supported. Staff can nominate any good cause they feel deserves a bit of extra help. This month we sponsored our Sales Manager Emma Duffield's friend Adam, who ran the London Marathon in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. We also got to choose tracks for him to listen to as he ran (he wasn't allowed to know in advance what he would be listening to). Some of us were kinder than others. Tracks sponsored by IS Oxford staff were as follows:
Grandma - St Winifred's school choir
Have A Cheeky Christmas - The Cheeky Girls
Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini - Timmy Mallet
Shaddup You Face - Joe Dolce
Nelly the Elephant - Toy Dolls
Never gonna give you up - Rick Astley
Nyan Cat - Nyan Cat
The loneliness of the long distance runner - Iron Maiden
£1 fish - One pound fish man
Diamond Lights - Hoddle and Waddle
Run - Snow Patrol
Dream Kitchen - Frazier Chorus
Learning to Fly - Pink Floyd
Cuddly Toy - Roachford

This month we are donating to Th Porch charity, which runs the Steppin' Stone Centre in Oxford, providing day long support for homeless and vulnerably housed people wanting to move forward in their lives, away from street-life and addiction.
Friday 7th March at CILIP HQ in London
Emma and Alex will be at the LMS Showcase demonstrating Heritage Cirqa. Come along and take a look. Registration is free.
